At Stitchfolk, I believe every garment has a story - and it’s worth telling again and again.

Born from a love of traditional craft and a deep respect for the planet, Stitchfolk is a slow mending studio based in Norfolk. I offer visible, artistic repairs that honour your clothing's history - whether it's a well-worn jumper, a pair of jeans patched with memory, or a treasured item too meaningful to throw away.

Using time-honoured techniques like embroidery, darning, and patchwork, I mend with care, using reclaimed or natural fibres wherever possible. Each stitch is a small act of resistance against throwaway culture - and a reminder that beauty often lies in imperfection.

This is not just about fixing clothes. It’s about extending stories, embracing individuality, and wearing your values with pride.

Let’s make mending a movement - stitch by stitch.
At Stitchfolk, I offer thoughtful, hand-worked clothing repairs and textile mending that respect both the garment and the person who wears it. No two items are ever the same, and neither are the repairs. Each piece has its own history, wear patterns, fibres, and quirks - and I treat it that way.

Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor every repair to suit the fabric, the damage, and your preferences. That might mean subtle reinforcement you barely notice, or visible mending that becomes a feature in its own right. Often, repairs use a combination of techniques to achieve the best result - balancing strength, longevity, and aesthetics.
Whether creative darning, embroidery, patching, or sashiko-inspired stitching, one technique is sometimes enough. Sometimes a repair calls for layering skills and ideas together. The goal is always the same: to extend the life of your garment while honouring its character.

If you have a piece you love that needs care, repair, or a fresh lease of life, I’d love to hear about it. Get in touch to discuss your garment, your ideas, and how we can mend it together.
